Who we are (data controller)

OBL Digital Limited, 29 Ardan View, Longview, Ballyhooly Road, Cork, T23 X6FC, Ireland. Registered in Ireland, company number 823352. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy at contact obldigital.com.

What we collect

We only collect personal data you choose to send us:

  • The contact form: your name, organisation, email address, optional phone number, the project type you choose, and your message.
  • If you email us directly: your email address and whatever you include in your message.

We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies. The only third-party request the site makes is to Google Fonts to load its typeface.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use these details for one purpose: to read and respond to your enquiry, and to have the follow-up conversation you started. Our lawful basis under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR is our legitimate interests, responding to an enquiry you have chosen to send us. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.

How your enquiry is handled

When you submit the contact form it is processed by our website on Cloudflare, which sends the enquiry to us by email through Resend (our email-sending provider, operating in the EU). The email is delivered to our contact obldigital.com mailbox, which is hosted on Google Workspace, and we reply from there. The connection to this site is encrypted with TLS, and Cloudflare sits in front of it for security.

Who processes your data on our behalf

We use a small number of reputable processors:

  • Cloudflare, website hosting, DNS, CDN and security (WAF/DDoS).
  • Resend, sending the enquiry email; configured to operate in the EU region.
  • Google Workspace, the mailbox where we receive and reply to your email.

Some of these providers are US-based companies and may process data outside the European Economic Area under the appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). We keep the number of processors to the minimum needed to reply to you.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry only as long as we need it to deal with your query and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us, then we delete it. If your enquiry becomes a project, the relevant details are kept under that engagement's own agreement instead.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email contact obldigital.com and we will respond.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Irish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
